Hydrotherapy

What Is Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic whole-body form of treatment carried out in a heated pool for the rehabilitation of many conditions/injuries. Its overall aim is to reduce pain and increase function. Essentially, hydrotherapy is physiotherapy in the pool instructed by one of our highly qualified physiotherapists.
Hydrotherapy is an extremely versatile form of treatment suitable for all ages. It is possible to carry out gentle exercises or more strenuous exercise, and it can begin early in your rehabilitation or further down the track. Our therapists are trained to cater for those medical conditions that require special care to be taken in the water.
Why It Works
Hydrotherapy combines the properties of heat and buoyancy with resistance in the water to achieve functional goals. These properties allow you to perform exercises you may be unable to do on land,. Subsequently this enables you to accelerating your rehabilitation in low- impact conditions and improving muscle strength, aerobic capacity and joint range of movement.
Hydrotherapy with our specialist physiotherapists will leave you feeling high-spirited and empowered with a clear plan for treatment.
